Google Chrome Review

.... My First Look at Google Chrome....

Google launched a new browser "Google Chrome" Yesterday(Sept 3'rd) which is developed from the scratch based on the latest features required in Current Computer world .. WOW WOW..

Before I download the Chrome I have gone thru there comic book which really given a good Idea about “ Google Chrome”
google chrome presentation comic book .The Features Explained Clearly..

Yesterday I downloaded & Had a Trail.. Awesome.. looking very cool & Very Quick. Performance is improved like anythink. I realized the Unique feature "Seperate Process for Each TAB & Each Window" is providing so much boost to this Browser.
As A Microsoft technologies developer (.Net) Most of the time I use IE (5.0,6.0 & 7.0) Browser . and also Mozilla FireFox rarely for checking the applications Browser Compatibility(look and feel).
Chrome’s UI is very simple & as A developer I really like that. It contains all the Bunch of features with in a limited place . The browser utilized the place very effectively.. But still I say the "It is a Developers Friendly Not the User's Friendly". Download Google Chrome Here.

There so many In built features available for people who use net regular based (like Simply marking a page as bookmark on clicking the START Icon Beside of Address BAR, Importing book Marks’ from Other browsers, “ Recent Bookmarks Section “ at the Right side in TAB Window, “Recently Closed Pages” Section,

As I explore the Features provided for Developers are really awesome. like “View Source” with CSS Effect(Colorfull), Javascript Debugger, Javascript Console, TaskManager inside the Browser to Manage the individual TAB’s with in the Browser & to see how much memory it is Occupied by that TAB in CPU. All of this without installing any plugin.

As Usual as google’s product , the installation & downloading is very quick. The First Impression is it is Simple & Clean Full Window Versioned Browser.

Some features which are totally distinguished from Others are :

1) If a page crashes, only that page is closed, not the browser;
Chrome has fantastic crash protection. Because Chrome has a single process for each and every window or tab if an error occurs in one window or tab it will ONLY affect that window or tab if you have several tabs in one window.
2). Memory Usage (Seperate Process for Each TAB & Window)
Memory Usage is Google Chromes next big advantage. Because Chrome uses several processes and therefore independent memory blocks whenever you close a window or tab google will completely kill that process and the memory block it used.
When we don’t need a page, the process of that tab is closed and the memory allocated is released.
Each tab acts as a separate browser i.e, each tab & window works on separate process. The unique feature of running each tab and window with its own process is really distinguishes it from other existing browsers.

This is great news for anyone (atleast for me :))who has seen one website error cause 40+ tabs to shut down at the same time losing your work, research and more.
3).Visual Management
Because Chrome has a process for each tab you open it means that the tabs can be moved from window to window, converted into a new window or simply re-arrange them with very little fuss. (WOW AJAX based Drag& Drop feature is here).. J re-organisation of tabs uses only a few kilobytes of memory as it affects only a few functions! The amount of versatility in this does not sound that good until you try it, I suggest you give it a go today!
4) Incognito Mode
The incognito mode looks cool too. The sites opened under incognito mode are not going to be stored in history, & also the cookies also not stored on local system. Its really cool features for the people who are accessing the net from outside(NetCafe’s) .
Web pages load quickly and smoothly, with few errors.Javascript performance is also incredibly advanced in chrome.

Google Chrome Fast, Simple, Lite as different process is used for each TAB & Window. It Can be both a browser for the common internet user, has it can be a browser for a developer. But I feel its More a Developer Friendly.. As It is Just BETA. I Hope in next version ther will be some changes might take place in this browser with Some BIG BIG Buttons (STOP(X),ect On top as in IE.. ;)
Google once more proved to be a company that studies the market and knowns what the users want.

As .Net Developer the features provided by Chrome are really helpful in development.. As I still exploring all the features. I hope I will find some more features which are going to help’s us more..

Chrome is going to be a really a best choice .. I hope that future releases bring more and more new features to help improve the UI more friendly…

Till that time.. Happy Chroming..... ;)
